A Year in Review

It seems impossible to comprehend that Christmas is only 10 days away! The year has flown by and for Camp CDA it was a stellar season. With more guests than ever staying with us and dozens of family reunions, friends nights out, and family vacations we met so many wonderful folks from near and far.

We need this moment to look back on the year to even remember how much has changed, all as we contemplate additional upgrades and improvements for 2019.

The BIG news was our new and improved tent camping area. By eliminating 9 sites and reconfiguring the area our tent campers were able to spread out a bit more and enjoy the grassy sites under the weeping willows with all new split rail fencing. The pool had been repaired in August 2017 but this season found the first full season of use and it was busy.

The opening of the campground store was a favorite update where campers were able to purchase what they had forgotten or simply try some local Idaho craft brews or grab a morning coffee.

Older campgrounds have their quirks and, at over 50 years old, Camp CDA is no different. Multiple owners had their own individual ways of doing business and adding sites so we renumbered the entire campground with snazzy new site markers to get everyone into their correct site.

Our bathrooms got a needed update creating an overwhelming wave of rave reviews of the “cleanest bathrooms ever at camp”, a goal we plan to continue.

In addition, there were a lot of small, yet excellent, changes from improved signs at the entrance of camp.

New cooktops and a smart looking sign in the camp kitchen which is now surrounded by herbs and veggies for guests to use.

An updated mailbox design with some colorful Adirondack chairs.

And even a hanging garden wall for extra color.

And what other campground has a Death Star complete with wildlife?

As we end one year and being another we once again thank you all for your support and can’t wait to have you come and camp with us in 2019!
