One of our guests favorite features here at Camp Coeur D’Alene is our communal camp kitchen.
This delightful area of camp is often the scene of multiple families meeting and greeting over dinner preparations and meals. Parents appreciate the multiple stovetops, sinks and BBQ’s while kids run freely exploring nature with new friends. We’ve seen 80th birthdays and bachelorette parties and everything in between, all with great success.
As happens, as wonderful and useful as our camp kitchen is, improvements can always be made so this is one area of camp that is seeing a big overhaul for the 2018 season.
While the basic design remains, we will be updating the sinks and stovetops and adding a couple of extra BBQs and a variety of herbs and flowers will be planted all around the kitchen for guest use and visual appeal.
We’ll be adding a bit more seating, new lighting and a bit of landscaping around the edges. In addition, we plan to turn the tent area and rustic campsite pavilions into their own brand of camper kitchen and lounge areas, something we’re extremely excited to put into place.
Give us your thoughts! What would you like to see added to for these facilities to make it even more fun and convenient to enjoy camp?
