Get out on the water at Camp CDA!
Happy New Year! We hope you got everything your heart desired and, if your heart desired some sort of watercraft, look no further than a summer camping trip at Camp CDA.

Fall has certainly arrived at camp and with it cold nighttime temperatures! Hearty stews and chilis are always a hit during this season and here at Camp CDA the idea of a warming dinner enjoyed around the campfire is why fall camping is our favorite time of year.
Once again we turn to our friends at Fresh off the Grid for their version of an amazing vegetarian chile cooked up in the dutch oven, one of our favorite cooking methods. They add the cornbread directly on top to cook over the chili and it is suddenly a one-dish wonder, one of our other favorite things!
Summer is hopping here at Camp CDA and we can’t believe it’s already July! Happy guests continue to flock to camp to enjoy our amazing setting and continuing improvements. Here are just a few pics and reviews from the last month. Camp stickers are for sale in the camp store and are proving to be a popular memento of camp.
Winter is a special time of year for Camp Coeur d’Alene. While our campground and cabins enjoy a snowy hibernation period we are busy plotting and planning the year ahead. 2018 marks our third year under new ownership and exciting changes are coming. One big addition will be our newly renovated and re-imagined camp store.
Mornings at camp are magical. The air is still. The sounds of nature drift over the camp. Peace and quiet reigns supreme. While many of you, especially busy parents, would love to simply sit with your cup of coffee and take it all in breakfast still needs to be dealt with. Enter one of the tastiest, and easiest, camp breakfast we know. And the BEST part is that it works for even the pickiest eater!
Winter stillness has taken over camp and snow blankets the landscape. This season has brought record numbers of eagles to the region and locals are gathered around fireplaces dreaming of spring.
Here at Camp Coeur D’Alene we love the fact that our campground is unique. So many campgrounds offer cookie-cutter sites and very little individual personality. Not so at Camp CDA!
This last weekend we were lucky enough to experience a nearly full camp. A very diverse camp. Our entire tenting area was taken over by one of WSU’s fraternities, and many of our cabins by a group of cousins enjoying a family reunion. The RV sites, however, were in large part occupied by some of the most enjoyable women we’ve met, all part of a group called Sisters on the Fly.
Our tent camping sites are some of the favorites on the property. Located closest to the water and featuring numerous mature trees, the tent sites are ever popular. New for 2018 we are redesigning and reconfiguring the area to create a whole new look.
