Camp Cooking~ Dutch Oven Bread
Everyone who has a Dutch Oven knows how fantastic they are. Everyone who has ever camped near someone with a Dutch Oven dreams of having one. One of our favorite things to cook in the Dutch Oven is amazing bread.

We at Camp Coeur d’Alene love the fact that our location just seven miles from CDA, coupled with our beautiful forested setting bordering Wolf Lodge Bay is reason enough to come for a visit. But in addition, we also offer numerous amenities to keep all members of the family happy.
Here at Camp Coeur d’Alene we see a little bit of everything. With our close proximity to town, and with a tent, RV, and cabin rentals, dinner hour becomes an extravaganza of sights and smells.

Here at Camp Coeur D’Alene, we know that a huge part of our appeal lies in our location. Situated on the calm waters of Wolf Lodge Bay we are surrounded by the stunning beauty and nature that comes with it. However, for those looking for action in the surrounding area, we are also set just seven miles east of the lovely community of Coeur D’Alene!
Here at Camp Coeur D’Alene we love the fact that our campground is unique. So many campgrounds offer cookie-cutter sites and very little individual personality. Not so at Camp CDA!
To say the 2017 camp season was enlightening would be an understatement. As we recap the year’s events and plan and plot for 2018, we first need to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing guests. You are all the reason we are here and we couldn’t do it without you.
This last weekend we were lucky enough to experience a nearly full camp. A very diverse camp. Our entire tenting area was taken over by one of WSU’s fraternities, and many of our cabins by a group of cousins enjoying a family reunion. The RV sites, however, were in large part occupied by some of the most enjoyable women we’ve met, all part of a group called Sisters on the Fly.
Our tent camping sites are some of the favorites on the property. Located closest to the water and featuring numerous mature trees, the tent sites are ever popular. New for 2018 we are redesigning and reconfiguring the area to create a whole new look.
Fall camping is some of the best out there. Days are often sunny and bright, nights crisp and cool. This fun has been dampened a bit in recent weeks with the stage 2 fire ban in effect. No more. Free firewood once more reigns at Camp Coeur D’Alene!
